New method of characterizing blood platelets by shape index

Blood platelets are one of the most important component of blood, because they are responsible for hemostasis. Disorders of platelets may lead to serious pathologies, including cardiovascular diseases. Currently, different methods are used for diagnostics platelets pathology. And, these methods are usually based on platelets aggregation and blood coagulation.
