Hollow fiber (HF) membranes composed of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.78W0.02Fe0.2O3- δ (BSCFW2) were prepared by the phase inversion technique. The maximum measured oxygens flux through BSCFW2 HF membranes was 10.4 ml/(min∗cm2) at T=900°C and pO2,1=0.7 atm. Study of the dependence of oxygen fluxes through BSCFW2 HF on temperature (T=800-900°C) and oxygen partial pressure on the feed side (pO2,1=0.1-0.7 atm) was performed. It was shown that the rate-determining step of oxygen permeability is the kinetics of surface reactions with activation energy of 135±10 kJ/mol for furnace heating and 90±5 kJ/mol for current heating.
