A study of the influence of Li-containing additives in microtubular SOFC components based on Gd-doped ceria on the effectiveness of the co-firing method

Аннотация

In this work, the method of co-firing was applied to obtain NiO/GDC - GDC half-cell for MT SOFC. Microtubular anode preforms of NiO/10GDC (60/40 wt%) composition were formed using the phase-inversion technique. The paste of electrolyte material 10GDC was deposited on the anode preforms by the dip-coating method. Some amount of lithium salts (3 wt%) were added into anode material and 10GDC paste, and their effect on the formation of the gas-tight electrolytic layer was investigated. The Li-containing sintering additives were shown to increase shrinkage upon the co-firing process and allow one to lower the temperature of obtaining the gas-tight electrolytic layer by about 150 °C.
