Аннотация
A technique for visualizing supersonic underexpanded gas jets flowing from sonic or supersonic nozzles into a rarefied space with a pressure of 0.2−100 Pa has been developed. The technique is based on exciting the luminescence of a gas jet moving according to the prescribed law relative to a focused electron beam with a diameter less than 1 mm. The luminescence of the excited gas was read by a scanner and transformed into an image. The density of the gas jet was quantified by the image brightness using the developed software.
