Abstract
It is shown that the intrinsic magnetization of transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers calculated within the two-band model depends significantly on the boundary conditions on the electron wavefunction even in a macroscopic sample. The saturation effect of the magnetization in a narrow ring made of a transition metal dichalcogenide monolayer is established: the magnetic moment per unit length of the ring circumference approaches a constant value with an unlimited increase in the linear electron density.
