Representation of general solution of equations of transversely isotropic thermoelastic medium with respect to dynamics

Abstract

The representation of general solution to three-dimensional dynamic equations of transversely isotropic thermoelastic medium is presented by using the Carrier - Gassmann condition and additional relation connecting temperature stress coefficients and elasticity constants. The displacements are expressed via three resolvent potentials satisfying three specific inhomogeneous quasi-wave equations. The potentials are related to the equation of heat conductivity.
