Abstract

Intracavity difference-frequency generation at 7.3 and 9.2 μm is demonstrated in orientation-patterned GaAs using a Nd:YLF pumped periodically-poled LiNbO3 optical parametric oscillator operating at 1-3 kHz, with average powers reaching the 10-mW level.
