On mitigation of nonlinear effects of PDM-OFDM-based optical signal using constellation shaping

Abstract

In this work we study nonlinear transmission regimes of a polarizationmultiplexed OFDM signal in a long-haul optical link. We show that nonlinear distortion of such a signal can be significantly reduced using constellation shaping-based technique.
