Modeling of heterogeneous detonation propagation in variable cross-section channels with consideration of transient combustion of aluminum

Abstract

Propagation of heterogeneous detonation in channels with expansion was studied. Main detonation regimes of detonation propagation were found and maps of detonation regimes were built in coordinate system critical width of the channel - angle of extension. In channels with variable section, where width of the channel is changing through the area with inclined wall, at small ratios of the transverse dimension of a wide and narrow parts of channel are similar for considered angles. Incising of the ratio leads to impact of nonlinear effects that found in channels with expansion.
