Abstract

In this study, a long fiber bragg grating (FBG) interrogation system based on microwave photonic filter and tunable narrow line-width light source is presented. The ability of this technique to perform the distributed monitoring of multiple thermal impacts with better than 1 mm spatial accuracy and 1?C temperature accuracy is demonstrated.
