Mathematical modeling of degenerative diseases

Abstract

In this work we present the new mathematical models and the results of numerical studies of cell death processes - apoptosis and necrosis - in ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction and Alzheimer's disease. General questions of aseptic inflammation modeling are considered on the example of dynamics of inflammation factors during wound healing. New minimal mathematical models of apoptosis regulators and tumor markers p53-Mdm2-microRNA network dynamics are presented. In the framework of adopted models, we have considered some actual therapeutic strategies.
