Abstract

For the first time, laser radiation at transitions of neutral argon atoms pumped by a pulsed inductive discharge was obtained. The radiation consisted of spectral lines with wavelengths of 1.213 µm, 1.240 µm, 1.270 µm, 1.694 µm, 1.791 µm. Studies of the temporal characteristics of the radiation showed the duration of the optical pulses were 4 ± 1 ns (FWHM).
