High-performance frequency selective surface filters for terahertz applications

Abstract

We review the results of extensive RD activity focused on elaborating high-performance quasi-optical filters using the technology of frequency selective surfaces. The band-pass, low-pass, and high-pass devices operating at subterahertz and terahertz frequencies are described. The issues of design optimization, lithographic fabrication, and spectral characterization of the developed filters alongside with their practical applications are considered.
