Abstract

We review the current status of the development of accelerator sources of epithermal neutrons for boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), a promising method of malignant tumor treatment. Particular attention is given to the source of epithermal neutrons on the basis of a new type of charged particleaccelerator: tandem accelerator with vacuum insulation and lithium neutron-producing target
