Abstract

The article presents an improved numerical method developed forcalculating turbulent flows basing on the algorithm SIMPLE, Rhie–Chowinterpolation on non-staggered grids, and monotonic second and thirdorder accurate TDV schemes. The use of high-order difference schemes forcalculation of viscous flows enables achievement of significantly betterresolution of the algorithm on coarse grids, which decisively affectsthe efficiency of two-dimensional and especially three-dimensionalcalculations.
