Analysis of Power Transfer from the Generator to the Beam in Accelerating Structures of Different Types

Abstract

Different accelerating structures are analyzed with respect to their maximum current and shunt resistance depending on the efficiency of the structure. It is found that a structure based on a standing wave with series coupling is an optimal structure in regards to microwave power transfer to the beam.
