Abstract
Investigating development by the Russian of the Arctic areas of Siberia (from the river of Indigirka up to the river Anadyr), the author has shown, as as a result of adaptation to local climatic conditions, ethnocultural separation and cultural influence on the part of subordinated peoples Russian inhabitants, refused attempts "to Russify" surrounding space, and turned from cultural donors into cultural recipients. Culture of Russian old residents became archaic, that contributed to disappearance of conflicingt factors within Russian and Native born relations.
